Featured Arizona Restaurant:  Los Olivos in Old Town Scottsdale

7328 E 2nd St, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Growing up, one of my favorite spots to dine was Los Olivos in Old Town Scottsdale. This charming Mexican restaurant holds a special place in my heart with its authentic flavors.

What to Try:

  • Chimichangas: Crispy on the outside and filled with savory goodness, these are a must-try.

  • Enchiladas Suizas: A delightful combination of creamy sauce and tender chicken, these enchiladas never disappoint.

  • Chicken and Vegi Burro: My favorite dish is a burrito with vegis and white meat chicken. I top it with both salsas and it’s delish!

Los Olivos has been a staple in my dining adventures, offering consistent quality and a nostalgic vibe that takes me back to my childhood every time I visit.

Travel Highlight: Exploring Honolulu, Hawaii

Our recent trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, was nothing short of magical. From the moment we landed, we were captivated by the island’s natural beauty and vibrant culture.

Exploring the Island:

We made it our mission to explore every corner of the island. From the bustling streets of Waikiki to the serene beaches of the North Shore, every place had its unique charm. The beautiful blue waters were perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by the shore.

Bike Ride Excursion at Kualoa Ranch:

One of the highlights of our trip was a thrilling bike ride excursion at Kualoa Ranch. Known for its stunning landscapes and movie backdrops, Kualoa Ranch offered us an adventurous way to see the island’s lush valleys and breathtaking coastline. Riding through the ranch, we felt like we were in a movie scene ourselves, surrounded by towering mountains and sweeping ocean views.

Styling Tip: Creating an Organized Space for Kiddo's Backpacks and Homework

With the school year here or approaching, it’s time to get organized! Creating a dedicated space for your children’s backpacks and a designated homework area can make a world of difference in keeping your home tidy and ensuring your kids have a productive environment for their studies.

1. Designated Backpack Station:

  • Hooks and Shelves: Install sturdy hooks at a child-friendly height for backpacks and coats. Add a shelf above for lunchboxes, sports gear, and other necessities.

  • Personalized Bins: Use labeled bins or baskets for each child to store shoes, hats, and other small items. This helps in keeping everything in one place and reduces morning chaos.

2. Homework Zone:

  • Comfortable Seating: Invest in a good chair and desk that are the right size for your child. Comfort is key to maintaining focus.

  • Organized Supplies: Use drawer organizers and desktop caddies to keep school supplies within reach but neatly stored. Having everything they need in one place minimizes distractions.

  • Adequate Lighting: Ensure the homework area is well-lit with a desk lamp or good overhead lighting to prevent eye strain.tmosphere.
