Your entryway is the first impression of your home. It sets the tone for your design style from the moment you or a loved one walks through the front door.
We created an earthy, modern entryway design with beautiful pieces of furniture and accessories that will be sure to make a good impression.
The Style
This design style for this entryway is modern yet warm and inviting. The natural textures and organic materials bring warmth and depth to the space. The color palette is neutral with ivory, grey, and black.
The console has clean lines and incorporates reclaimed European oak making it a beautiful natural element. The mirror and pendant light brings in a metal element, and the black adds a nice contrast to the design. We sourced a hand-woven rug with a stripe pattern to add texture to the space. To soften the entryway, we sourced washed grey velvet poufs that add more texture to the entry.
Minimalist Approach
For minimalists, we wanted to provide a few accessories to add to the console but will not create clutter. We sourced a black textured vase to add some greenery and placed it next to two tapered candle sticks made of solid marble in a neutral taupe color. We added a reclaimed wood bowl below the mirror on the opposite side.
Maximalist Approach
For maximalists, we added a few additional decor items. We added a piece of artwork to the vase and candlestick grouping that leans against the wall and adds some more height to this area. Next to the bowl, we added a stack of books. Lastly, we added a potted plant next to the console.
The Importance of the Design + Plan Phase
While both options are equally beautiful and will create the perfect earthy entryway, we know that some clients that would prefer one design over the other. At Diamonds in the Desert Design, we work with clients on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to minimalist versus maximalist, which is why our design + plan phase is essential in working together. During this phase, we will discuss your design style, likes, and dislikes to ensure we deliver a design that suits you.
